Shadowmass was spawned in the fall of 1999 by Jerry Haynes (guitar) and Frank Higgins(bass). In 2000 Tommy Shirley joined the outfit behind the drums. In early 2001 the band was complete with the arrival of Enrique Madico (vocals) and Tony Green (guitar). The band debut at The Bay in Chattanooga in June and will headline in early August. Shadowmass is a heavy blend of modern stomp metal with a pinch of old school thrash and a hint of good ol' fashiond destruction. The bands main goal is to bring power based guitar solo's in the now popular metal scene. Influences include Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Godsmack, Slayer and Testament (to name a few)
